Tai Chi Classes
Energize Your Mind, Body and Spirit
at the Carousel Museum

   Clear your mind and energize your body with the deep breathing and slow movements of Tai Chi, an ancient Chinese martial art.  Tai Chi improves balance, flexibility and coordination, while strengthening muscles and bones.  The deep breathing and continuous full-body movements oxygenate the blood, releasing tension and energizing the body.  Tai Chi has been shown to help with high blood pressure, arthritis, osteoporosis, back pain and more.  Come and discover Tai Chi’s many health benefits, and feel revived in the process.
   Tai Chi will be taught by Risa Brophy.  Risa has been teaching Tai chi and Qigong for more than 15 years.  Risa has specialized training in Medical Qigong, which consists of particular movements used to stimulate and balance energy in the body in specific ways for disease prevention and healing.
   Classes will be held on Wednesday, February 27,,March 5, 12 and 19 at the New England Carousel Museum building, 95 Riverside Ave. Bristol, CT 06010.  The cost is $39.00 for four classes, or $12.00 per class.  Each class is one hour in length, and begins at 6:15 P.M. The Bristol Center for Arts & Culture is located at The New England Carousel Museum, 95 Riverside Avenue, RT 72 W, in Bristol, Connecticut 06010. The building is available to rent for receptions, weddings, meetings and classes. The Museum provides tours, tour and craft programs, birthday parties for children of all ages, youth group sleepovers and educational outreach programs.   The Museum is special needs accessible.
